Ok so, the surgery on my right shoulder is now done. It was supposed to
take 2 hours but it was worse then the doctor had expected and took
over 4 hours. He had to cut out in his words "a massive amount of
bone". The bone had been rubbing so hard on the long muscle of my
shoulder for so long that the muscle was worn almost all the way
through. It should have been flat but instead had a trench down the
middle like the ditch between lanes of a highway.
He fixed all the bone interference the repaired the muscle. He had to
scrape the entire surface of the muscle raw then fold it over on it
self then stitch it like crazy.
Even though the problem was worse then he had expected the repair seems
to have gone way better then he expected. I'm already not taking pain
killers and sleeping through the night. At this point he is saying 6
weeks in the sling then 8 months recovery but I think it'll go a lot
faster then that.
Over all it has been way less painful then I ever expected..
