Dear Stoughton,

It seems it is time for us to part ways. I know it will be hard at first, but it must happen. It's been good. You have offered me many years of town spa pizza, crescent ridge ice cream and five dollar movies at the cinema. You have given me snow days, and first days, and first dates, and last dates. I've enjoyed your parades, dances, sports events, and graduations. Through it all, no matter what, for 2160 days of my life, you offered me a place to pretend to learn, and play with my friends, and eat moderately priced food.

Sure, you have grown. We all grow. And with our growth, we take the good in with the bad. Sure, starbucks was a great decision. But seriously? Was it really necessary to put a dunkin donuts across from it. And I love IKEA just as much as the next person. But the center? Were you high?

Oh well. Shit happens. I know you will be fine without me. And I will be fine without you. I will visit you from time to time. But it will never be the same.

And I just want to say thanks. Thanks for the obnoxious church bells that wake me up every Sunday morning. Thank you for providing alternate routes around the center. Thank you for giving me some of the greatest friends I will ever have and giving us multiple places to pointlessly hang out.

So, yeah. I guess there's not much left to say but goodbye.

Goodbye Stoughton.
