So the day started as normal, shouting at the kids to get dressed etc. and the dog decided to escape. Imagine the picture I'm up the field chasing a mad black lab, after 15 mins of this he decides that he's had enough and comes back home. Yippee, this means the kids have missed breakfast club and have sorted themselves out while I chase jed. Great :-P
The school run goes and I get to work up at Crumlin Primary, yes the Crumlin from the Pot Noodle adverts, (the pot noodle factory is about 500 yards from the school imagine the smell) only to find that my usual teacher is off sick. The supply teacher is as much use as a choccy teapot and knows nothing. Then to my horror one of my littlies decides to be ill... all over me! So I am stood standing in the middle of the classroom with my hands full, literally, and the supply comes up with the classic line ' I don't do sick, it's not my problem!' She wanted to leave the poor child covered and in tears, with the floor covered. I cleaned myself and the littlie up called the deputy head and the teacher was sent home! The smell is still up my nose.
Am I being unusual in thinking that if you are a teacher you should know what to do in a situation like that? Or is it me?
