Nuzlocke Challenge Continued!

Well... I'm getting closer.  Check under the cut for further adventures in Hoenn.  Y'know, in case anyone actually cares.

=P

THE SEVENTH BADGE

-Rolling again… realized I could use Fly now, so went around running a couple little errands.  Mostly getting the Silk Scarf and the Pokeblock Case.
-Ventured into the Safari Zone, where I view each zone as a new ‘area’ for catching purposes. Caught Wilma the Girafarig in the Southeast and Peety the Gloom in the Northwest. Failed to catch an Oddish in the Southwest, and didn’t have the right bike for the Northeast.
-Killed the first Tentacool I saw on Route 122 on my way to Mt. Pyre… oh, well. Speaking of Mt. Pyre, whilst there I caught Marina the Duskull.
-Magma Grunt with three Zubat… heh. Larry made short work of him, then laughed at him for having lousy Pokemon.
-Got beat up on by a bunch of random trainers in Mt. Pyre, but managed not to let anyone die… phew. Now to foil Team Magma’s plans!
-Forgot that there were a couple of Electrode in Magma Hideout. The first one was caught and nicknamed Resistorb (whoo), but the second used Selfdestruct and took out Larry. Oops… Nooo, Larry… =(
-Decided to replace Larry with Wilma. I’m nearing the end of the game, and it looks like a Girafarig (with a Normal/Psychic typing and the move Crunch) will actually be very useful against Phoebe of the Elite Four. Doesn’t learn Crunch until Level 49, but hey, gonna be training anyway…
-Ventured out toward Mossdeep and caught Josh the Wingull on the way on Route 124.
-Really wanted a Staryu, so after getting the Super Rod I flew back to Lilycove to go fishing. Wound up with Billy the Wailmer. On my return to Mossdeep, however, I managed to catch Pronyma the Sharpedo. It’s a great offensive Pokemon with crap defenses, but… I’m stoked.
-Churned out some levels and took the Mossdeep gym by storm. Pronyma’s Crunch makes short work of psychics. Lystra (who I evolved into Dusclops) and Pronyma took charge in the double battle against Tate and Liza, and managed to take them out quickly and easily. Woohoo!

THE EIGHTH BADGE!

-Time for some deep-sea shenanigans. Taught Dive to Pronyma because… well, someone’s gotta do it.
-NEW SEA ROUTES! The first Tentacool I met on Route 126 was only level 14, so I just killed it. Realized there was no harm in catching even low-level Pokeys, so caught Butch the Magikarp in Sootopolis City, then Celine the Wingull on Route 127 and Bertha the Tentacool in the Seafloor Cavern.
-Battled Maxie in the depths of the Seafloor Cavern, and while I defeated him, his Camerupt knew Earthquake, and quickly KO’d both Pronyma and Hope. Pronyma I knew wouldn’t last long, but Hope was my longest-tenured Pokemon after Kenneth died. Time to pull Faith out of the Daycare center… hope she’s close to leveled up.
-Strangely, it wouldn’t let me release either of them. Maybe because they’re the only ones that know certain HM moves? Weird. Dumped them in a separate box where they will not be used.
-“If you want your Faith back, it will cost you $1500.” Worth it Y/N/M? Also: Level 37 WHOO.
-Threw on a repel to avoid the Zubat in the Cave of Origin… didn’t want to mess with them.
-Prepared for BATTLE OF EPIC PROPORTIONS WITH GROUDON… and just hucked a Master Ball. Not screwing around with that, but HECK YES I’M USING A LEGENDARY FOR THIS ONE. Also, his name is Tekton and he’s Adamant. *fist pump*
-Went to Sootopolis and defeated Wallace. Tekton’s Drought was very handy in a Water-based Gym. ^.^ Unfortunately, Faith died. Even with her water moves weakened, Wallace’s Milotic was lethal with Ice Beam… yikes.
-THE TIME HAS COME! The final charge approaches…

THE PATH TO VICTORY!

-Went ahead and caught Ethel the Tentacool on Route 128. SO MANY WATER ROUTES AAAAH.
-Entered victory Road, and caught Bruce the Golbat (yes, he’s Batman).
-Spent a LOOOOOOOONG time churning through Victory Road, churning through trainers and preparing to face Wally. Gained a bunch of levels, and cleared the way for Wally. Defeated him pretty easily and made it to the Pokemon League.
-There is more training to be done. But I will stop here for now. Here’s the team:

Ethel the Tentacruel, Lv. 41
Ohmball the Electrode, Lv. 41
Wilma the Girafarig, Lv. 41
Lystra the Dusclops, Lv. 41
Luz the Solrock, Lv. 41
Tekton the Groudon, Lv. 45
