Not paying for you for the time that they have you there working is against the law since you are hourly wage earners.
However, they are a church, so this law may not apply to them, but I doubt it.
rangerslady says you should keep punching out when you are honestly done. Even if they don't pay you for it, you have it recorded. Then after x amount of time, take the time sheets and show them that extra time is indeed required.
I say start cleaning early. While the people are still there. Someone will complain eventually and then you can say, well, if you want it done in the time you give us, this is what we need to do. So sorry.
I don't know what you said. Did you keep your verbiage professional? No swearing or anything? If you used inappropriate language, then you should apologize. Otherwise, I say leave it.
Lastly, rangerslady and I both have one more thought...Get a different job. You have a college degree man...Start using it. You are capable of SO much more M. Peace bro.
Don't get me wrong, I am still clocking out when I leave, and am advising my coworkers to do the same thing.
Can't start cleaning while they are still there unless we ask, which we will be doing. Something to do with the rental agreement. Weird, I know, don't ask.
I kept it professional, no swearing, just agitated tone for a few seconds.
Lastly, I'm not a complete retard, I am looking for a new job. Sent out two resumes yesterday. Give me some credit, sheesh.
One more thing, call me by my name on here. It is on my profile. "M" is just dumb.
