quick update
Quick update regarding Jenni.
She had surgery on her spine this afternoon. After having a MRI done on March 24th, we saw a neurosurgeon on the 31st and showed us the results. The disk between her 4th and 5th lumbar was bulging out and squeezing her spinal column between the disk and the bone of her outer spine.
Needless to say, not good. Bad enough that, within a week, he was operating on her.
So today, he made a two inch incision above her spine, shaved a bit of the inner side of the spine (bone) and cut back the bulged part of the disk to make room for the spinal column.
She's still in a great deal of pain since they are only giving her a small amount of pain killers that she already has a resistance to. Hopefully over the next couple of days, the swelling will go down so will the pain. Not sure how long she will be in the hospital, at least couple of days.
