What?!-What?!
My 2 year old daughter went and put herself to bed tonight. Let me restate that. My 2 year old went to bed herself with no prompting from either me or mommy.
Can you say HOLY-AWESOME, BATMAN!? This week is a super huge milestone for her. Katie has been co-sleeping with us since she arrived - until this weekend. Bri went and picked her up a "Dora the explorer" toddler bedding set for her toddler bed. We made it a special event by moving the toddler bed into the master and placing it at the foot of our bed. We slipped on the "Dora-disguise" and ever since (knock on wood) Katie has slept in the bed for naps and overnights. And tonight.... out of the blue, she disappears. When I go to look for her, she has climbed into bed, under covers and was trying to go to sleep. All on her own.
wow. I am so impressed by my kid, that I just don't have enough words for.
