I don't usually gush about music, but I have a new favorite song and it needs to be shared with the world. It's very rare that I find a song and a cover of that song, and can't for the life of me decide which version is better. Usually it's really obvious one way or the other. Here's two versions of "Romeo and Juliet," the first is the cover by The Killers, and the second is the original by Dire Straights. I love the original for the big, powerful, rock-ballad (80's ballads are the best, man), but I also love the Killers version for being more simple and beautiful, and the lyrics sound better. Which do you like better? (BTW, yes I realize that the Dire Straights video is live and therefore 10 minutes long, lol)
This song just makes me sit and sigh and wish I was home with my boy. I've been listening to it all day.
