Hey guys! I apologize for being lame lately and not posting in a while, but ya know. That's how I roll lately, neglecting the ol' El Jay. :( I'll just cut this thing down so if you only want to read certain parts, that's cool.
There's this quote from Juno that goes something like: "I never realize how much I like being home unless I've been somewhere really different for a while." That totally sums up how I feel whenever I visit home. I don't really mean that about just seeing my fam and the boy, I just love being home. I love laying around on my couch under a blanket watching movies, I love the way my mom's cooking makes the whole house smell delicious, I love waking up in my own bed, I love going to Crossgates Mall to see movies. I think this time it just made me really realize how much I'm sick of living in the dorms and ready to come back home. I mean, I do love New Paltz, and I love my friends here and hanging out with them every day, but I really am a homebody, and I can't live with this many people for too long without feeling a bit smothered by it. I need my own space, man. Everyone keeps saying that it's going to suck moving back in with my parents after living on my own for four years, but I get along so well with my parents and they treat me like an adult, so it'll be fine for me. And besides, I'm weird and actually love spending time with them. Every time I go home I make sure I schedule a movie-night with my mom, because I love hanging out with her. :D
So after driving home at 5 in the morning (I had to work from midnight to 4:45 AM on Friday night/Saturday morning), going to bed at 6:30 AM, and sleeping until 2 in the afternoon, the weekend turned into Movie Madness. Saturday night Pat took me out to dinner at Ruby Tuesday's, which was very nice and delicious, and then to see In Bruges at Crossgates, and it was awesome. This movie had three HP actors in it- Mad-Eye Moody, Voldemort, and Fleur Delacour. And Ralph Fiennes' character was named "Harry"! It was totally weird, but awesome. On Sunday me and Pat watched all three Indiana Jones movies on dvd, which was amazing. 6 hours of Indy, it doesn't get much better than that! The new movie is going to be Teh Pwn. XD We also watched a lot of Arrested Development season two, I just can't get enough of that show! And then today we all watched Across the Universe. I told my mom she had to see it because she's such a Beatles fan, and she grew up in the 70's and all. She loved it, as I knew she would. She said that Jude was "very easy to look at," hehe.
So I actually have a plan for my immediate future, and it doesn't involve running away and becoming a pirate! I've made a decision on what I want to specialize in at grad. school- I was undecided about going into Secondary Ed. English, or Special Ed. and Literacy, and I've definitely decided on teaching high school English. I've also decided to go to SUNY Albany for said grad. program. The program is 16 months long, but only starts in the summer. I made this discovery over winter break, and the deadline for applications was in February. Oops! So, The Plan is to take a year off from school (because I obviously have to wait around for the deadline again) and work full-time as a TA. Then I'll actually have money when I start grad. school, and since the program starts in the summer and I'll be working in a school, I'll have the summer off from work to concentrate on school and get a feel for the program. I'm kind of excited about just working for a year, it'll be a nice change of pace. So, that's like 3 years of my life that I have (mostly) planned out! OMG that's crazy. I'm only freaking out a little bit here. XDD

B. Tag seven people to do the same.
C. Do not tag the person who tagged you or say that you tag "whoever wants to do it." (because that's just lame)
1. When I was little I used to think that the UPS trucks were made of chocolate because they're brown.
2. I really wish I knew how to play my guitar.
3. Sometimes I sit around and think about which Harry Potter book would be best to teach to high school kids who most likely won't have read any of the HP books...I usually decide on Prisoner of Azkaban.
4. I daydream about various fanfic ideas during class but usually don't ever write any of them.
5. I get away with a lot amongst my siblings on the pretext of being "the baby."
6. I'm the most gullible person I know.
7. I'm incapable of doodling.
I feel like everyone has done this one, and even though the directions says it's "lame," just do it if you feel like it. :P
Anywho, I have a teeny bit of homework I need to finish up, and then I'm crashing. I'm still kinda getting over from The Sick, and I've been really tired lately. And I have class at 10. Blah.
P.S. I might post the rough draft of my play about super-villains, if anyone wants to read it...or maybe I'll just wait until the final draft. I will ponder this.
