Here's a poem I submitted for my creative writing minor...

Diamond Rock

My senses are so fickle fangled without your dear hand

A morbid dried out land

Left to die out here so lonely     and so freezing

The smoky water is so neatly wrapping round my brain

Driving me insane

Told to wait out here for lingering thoughts    or fading

And if you hear the smiling of the wasted lives begun

picking up your gun

And the smiling wasted lives are just beginning

I breathe the weather storms in me

I breathe until I choke

laughing at the smoke

Living yesterday's today before tomorrow

So take me to another place, take me to your way

A dark red letter day

Oh, the darkness underneath my skin is bleeding
