Shopping today:
a friend I ran into: I loved baking with this stuff--the pie crust came out so light and flaky!
me: Wow! I'll buy it!
Starbucks employee: Would you like to try our Peppermint Mocha Twist?
me: Yup!
SE: how 'bout a cranberry crave bar?
me: Sure!
Apparently if you make a vague suggestion to me today about a consumable item, I will buy it. Perhaps I should not go shopping again today?
In other news, the new kitty litter I got for Calvin the Cat is scented (I hadn't known this) in nearly exactly the same scent as my new perfume I just got from my MIL. Great.
I have many projects to grade. I got about halfway through one class yesterday, so I'm hoping to crack on today. I think I'm being needlessly soft on them, but they have so far actually understood the project and done fairly well, so I don't feel too bad. I have finals to give on Wed. & Friday, which means more grading of course. And then... freedom, sweet, blessed freedom.
Ian's birthday was fun. Only two other kids came, but Ian still had a good time, and had yummy cake and good presents and fun blowing balloons and bubbles and playing red light green light. Good times.
Not much else going on around the homefront. I'm reading a good novel called Dies the Fire. Will report more on this one once done.
