Yesterday, after another doctor's appointment, we came to the difficult decision to not go ahead with a tonsillectomy, even though it's recommended for me, mostly due to the cost (even with insurance) and the relatively low probability of risk if I don't have them removed.

Today, my throat is killing me and the pain is radiating up to my ears.  Yeah.  Damnit.
