Bad Student .... Good Fangirl, Part 2

KARA REPLAYS THE MASS EFFECT SERIES: LOG 19
Now THAT. THAT is a real ending. That’s an ending that will make your heart stop in your chest and you heave oceans of accomplished sobbing because you couldn’t contain your pride at taking down a reaper god that’s going to try and wipe out galactic civilization. You feel like hitting something when it seems like Shepard has died and then she comes running out from the rubble with a creepy smile on her face and the world makes sense again. And there’s closure and you’re dying for the second game as soon as you finish it. Really this was the best ending of the three games.
Kaidan looks so sad when he thinks you’re gone D: I never really paid much attention to what was going on at the end the first time I played through the series because I was so excited for what was coming next. He honestly looks heartbroken and I want to patch him up and tell him its all going to be okay.
Started Mass Effect 2 tonight. That intro always annoys the crap out of me because I’ve hated Zero G sluggish spacewalking since KOTOR. nnn its just immensely irritating for some reason. The neverending loading screens are also a pain in the ass.
I used to hate the Cerberus crew. I never really wanted to talk to any of them and I was just focused on getting stuff done for the sake of advancing in the plot. I only really paid attention to missions for old SR1 crewmembers (Tali Garrus Liara) And I only fell in love with Mordin and Legion’s characters but still was never super attached because it was Cerberus they were working under. Now just the sight of Miranda punches me in the feels. I don’t even know what I’m going to do when Mordin shows up. (I really couldn’t care less about Jacob. He’s the only character in this series that I am 1. not attached to at all whatsoever and 2. might even really dislike.)
On to Mass Effect 2 adventures. Kara Out.

Gare bearrr :D His recruitment mission is one of my favorites because its a whole beat the clock kind of thing and a, youve got to move kind of thing. Its a ton of fun to take down each of the merc groups and fight the bosses at the end. And of course my femshep getting to see her soon-to-be best friend again is lovely. Badass garruss is suave *eyebrows*
mordin mordin how i love you mordin. I just had the little modified genophage chat with Mordin and it is interesting to see him feverently and almost desperately defend his position on the redistrobution of the genophage. Its sad too, to be able to experience again why he was so determined to make things right in game three.
Im taking mordin and legion with me everywhere in this game. Lord the two of them are not leaving my sight until game 3 D’:

I just finished Horizon D’:
First off, I HATE this mission. With a passion. This mission and the Reaper IFF. Those god damn fucking husks and scions and preatorians. I hate it hate it hate it. Husks have armor on hardcore. I don’t usually have trouble with anything on this level of gameplay except for them. I also forget they’re there to make you break cover.
Second off, Biotic baby why you no understand D: I lob you. It’s easier than it was the first time around mainly because I know how they come back full speed ahead in the third game, but still he’s so mad and Shepard is so DAMN stoic. I mean I can completely see how Bioware just pushed the VS off to the side for this game. I always cant help but giggle when he does the little Ashley uncomfortable wiggle. Dat hug at the beginning. I think above anything else my Raine needs so Kaidan huggin.
Whenever I pass by his picture i just think… SOON.
Jacob I would leave you on that collector base if I could. I wouldn’t do your loyalty and make you the biotic specialist. But nooo I can’t because my Shepard is a paragon through and through.

Just Played Haestrom. This mission is a lot of fun. The sun frying my shields is really taxing on my patience though. With geth having shield boosts and whatnot.
Listening to Tali’s journals just helps me remember how much she respects and admire’s Shepard. I think she sees Shepard as the person to be like, the person she should be. It’s an adorable admiration and its a loyalty that can only be found with her and Garrus. Two aliens that aren’t immediately suspicious of Shepard or her association with Cerberus because Shepard picked them up and changed their lives in the mission against Saren. She’s like my femshep’s little sister. I love talking to her in Engineering and seeing her get flustered and adorable. If anyone deserves hugs, Tali deserves hugs.
Kal’Reegar!!! He’s so absolutely perfect, very awkward, only knows how to maneuver his way around a battlefield. I love the way his abruptness comes across as endearing. He was so willing to lay his life down for Tali. And Tali was so worried about him and seeing him alive, she sounded so relieved. Yeah I definitely ship Kali… hadn’t thought of them for a while because of the sad lack of Kal in ME3. He didn’t die I refuse to accept that. I can’t wait for the Migrant Fleet mission to talk to him again.
Kelly Chambers creeps me out. She’s just really really creepy in the way she talks about each squadmember. Ugh okay I might dislike her as much as Jacob.

I never got past Mordin’s adorable fragments to actually listen to his VO, but my god that man is amazing. I just got his loyalty mission and his voice was really urgent and cracked a bit when he started speaking really really really fast.
Recruited Thane and Samara. Can I just say? Thane’s entrance is the single most badass thing I have ever seen. The only thing that irks me about it is when he tells you he’s dying and Shepard immediately asks if he’s contagious and steps back. Lol oh Shepard. <3 He’s so mmm, its hard to stay completely away from him when you only have a picture of the biotic husband this game.
Samara reminds me of a Jedi. I cannot see past it and I doubt I ever will. I’m just waiting for her to pull a lightsabre out and slice someone in half. “There is only the Force Code.” Mmm she’s my Shepard’s mom. Its good to have her back on the ship. Her recruitment is so damn fun also. I love how the red sand makes you able to biotically explode things without having to combine powers. Yeah its probably bad to keep purposefully trying to max out the Toxicity bar to make the biotic buff last longer hehe.

I’ve never let Sidonis live in Garrus’ loyalty before. I really like the turnout. Still wanted to shoot him after, but Garrus’ quote about black and white was really touching. His voice also broke several times when talking about his men. These ME VO’s you guys, how do they even exist? It was great seeing Harkin get slammed though. Exactly what I wanted to do in ME1. You go Garebear.

I like to hoard Loyalty missions and do them all before the Reaper IFF. I sacrificed my entire crew one time just to bring Legion aboard the flotilla though. Funniest thing ever.
Mordin’s loyalty is heartbreaking. I’d rushed through it the first time. Shepard why are you so cruel to him about his wrong? D: I feel so goddamn responsible for his death now. So so responsible. all these feels. All these cries.
Seeing Wrex again is one of the best things in the world. I love when Grunt notes that Okeer is dead and Wrex goes “Of course, you’re with Shepard. How could he be alive?” He looks like he could use a hug though. Lots and lots of hugs.
I’ve always loved the little tail that the Krogan have, I want to poke one of them to see if it makes their tail wiggle. :3
Thane told me to aim straighter when I shot over the shoulder of a Krogan with my sniper rifle. I didn’t even know that was a banter >:( I threw a shockwave at him for that one.
