Can't say I was surprised; you seem to be taking great pleasure in discrimination lately.  I hope one day generations look back on today and think "how the hell could they have let that stand?"  I hope one day we fix all this, and we can live equally.  And I hope to god it's someday soon.  The fact that you allowed the marriages to remain valid is a small glimmer of hope amidst all this turmoil, but it's not enough.  But don't worry, because we're going to fight this, and fight it, and fight it until we win.  We'll take it all the way to Washington.  And do not be mistaken, we will win.  Because we're right.
