This is one of those days that tends to get you down. After the company I had been talking to seemed all gung-ho about me, I went in for that second interview last Thursday. I didn't meet with the HR woman afterward, so I had no immediate indication of what next steps would be (since she said that after that meeting we could proceed). I thought maybe I'd hear something that day or at least the next. I heard nothing by the time I took off for the beautiful woods of the Alleghenies on Friday afternoon. Came back, still nothing. Yesterday, again nothing. So this morning I e-mailed her to follow up. And I've still heard nothing.
So, the radio silence has me kind of down. Perhaps still hoping that it might be due to something on the way to me, like an offer coming via UPS, but I'm not getting my hopes up too much at this point. I would expect at least some verbal contact prior to that happening.
So I wait, rot, and wait some more.
