btw, how on earth do you plan to read all of those books? you'll be 60 before you get through half!!! but i guess theyre good for quick research questions.

Well, as soon as I'm done with Oryx and Crake, I am starting on the Origin of Species, which I should be able to relatively breeze through

Oooh, I read Oryx and Crake. I enjoyed it, though I do not think that Atwood reached her full potential with that book.

Well, I like it so far, so if you have one, please suggest an Atwood book that does fulfill her potential. I will totally read it

The thing is... there is no such book. She has these amazing and wonderful ideas, but she never really explores their potential; Atwood starts a book off strong and then just peters out.

I do have to say, though, that the above statements are mostly secondhand knowledge. I have only read Oryx and Crake. =\

Well, it seems that the next time we are both home we'll have to have a discussion about this over coffee. Among our other various interesting topics.

You know, I feel bad about reading Oryx and Crake for the simple fact that it's going to be overshadowed somewhat when I read Exile after it.
