So, thirty weeks along!
Heartburn is mostly under control, thanks to a constant intake of grapefruit. (No, seriously. It works.)
I am so fricking SORE, though. She's really, really, REALLY active. She's already flipped over to boot, so she's figured out head down at least once. Even if she flips back, she's done it once, I believe in her ability to do it again. And I basically don't sleep. (Yes, I know, I do not yet know the meaning of the word tired, but I think I'm getting SOME practice in.)
Food is weird again. Chicken and eggs taste TERRIBLE, so I've been eating a LOT of steak. And duck. (Go us, buying that whole box of frozen duck breast from RD last year!) Still have some serious cravings for veggies. No witch next door with a garden though, so there's a good chance of not giving birth to Rapunzel. Understand her mom better now though.
Birthing classes have been going really well. And I'm really pleased that when I talked to my midwife that our birth plan, which looked kinda non-standard to my mind, was pretty normal looking to her. Woo! No standard episiotomy, no failure to progress guidelines based on time, no automatic IV. And a practice-wide C-section rate of 20%, as opposed to the hospital rate of 38%.
So yes. Things are going pretty well.
