What a week. Found out on Monday that one of my former bosses at the Place was killed in a freak car accident over the weekend. He was getting his mail at the end of his driveway and a car came around the corner and hit him. Only 61, leaves behind two kids, one of whom is only 5 years old. A nice man, and this is such a shame to have happened. Funeral is while we're away, unfortunately, but I called and sent my condolences to the family.
And then I was named Associate of the Month at work, which I NEVER expected to even be considered for, so that was cool. What an updown week.
Now then, onto the latest episode of What's My Number?(of eggs this month)! [Spoiler (click to open)] Went in for my first egg check this month. Some concerns were found.
See, you SHOULD switch from side to side when ovulating. Right, left, right, y'know?
My left ovary has yet to ovulate, as far as we can tell. I got a tiny follicle on it last month, sure, but at the same time, my right ovary had TWO good sized follicles before Leftenent got her act together enough to throw one tiny one. (Not really viable, at that.)
So we expected this month we would see Righty take a break, since she's thrown a total of four eggs in the past two months. A well deserved break, at that. But no, as of this morning, there's one 12.5 follicle on Righty, and Leftenant...not really anything. Blood flow is fine, everything LOOKS like it should be fine, and yet, bupkis. If this happens again next month, it'll be a thing of REAL concern. Right now, they seem less concerned about it, but I'm worried.
And where normally we'd be keeping a close eye on this, in the morning we fly out to SD for my grandma's funeral, so I don't have another appointment until Monday. Early Monday, but still...enh.
