I survived

As it turns out, I made it!

I had almost not graduated because my minor gpa was technically too low to graduate. But, my minor advisor and the dean of the college for Chinese (worst minor ever) both signed off on my GPA and let me graduate! WHOOO! I got my diploma in the mail a couple of days ago, and they're not getting it back!

Now, I'm at Randolph AFB, San Antonio Texas, which is awesome. I got moved into the dorms for navigator trainees, and I'm chillin' until I go to Initial Flight Screening. There's not much else going on right now. I'll post again should something cool happen.

Sean and I ended things amiably. Neither of us was ready to commit to any sort of long distance, serious relationship. He's got a year of school left, and I do too when it gets right down to it - 1.5 more years of navigator training. There's really no room left for distraction for either of us. He needs to buckle down and graduate, and I'm going to go through the hardest classes of my life. I miss him anyways though, even though I knew it would end this way. Thankfully we both felt the same way, and we've stayed friends, I can chat him up on AIM when I'm bored or feeling lonely.

And I do get bored. I'm on casual status right now - which means waiting my turn for training to start. So not only do I live on base, I don't have a car to drive - my Exploder died last semester from a shattered fly wheel. So I'm stuck on base with nowhere to go and no tv. I've been sleeping a lot, and playing a lot of Solitaire! I don't really have any money until I get paid anyways, so it's not like I can do much of anything.

Oh well, I'm thankful that I have a job, a place to stay, money for food, and insurance. It's the little things in life!
