Last night I had very strange dreams. The kind that I normally get when I haven't been fully dealing with issues that I should be. While some were scary, I'm glad I had them because they provided great insights into different situations going on in my life right now and my true feelings about them.
Today I partially graduated. Before the graduation there was a reception where I talked with my family, relaxed, and won a door prize for $50 at a local restaurant (SCORE!). Afterward we all headed over to the graduation ceremony which was basically comprised of a lot of waiting... Walking across the stage.. and then more waiting. My step dad told me after that he almost fell asleep a few times during the end. I told him it was alright, because I almost did too. (Special thanks to Both sets of parents for coming/cards/love/monetary gifts, Lynnette and Kyle for coming and being fun to hang with, Linus for the mini and the kind words/help, Dayne for stopping by and saying "Hi" with a hug, Klem for the congratulatory call, Smitha for the card, and to everyone else who was supportive... if you couldn't attend, you were there in spirit)
It was long ceremony(sort of like that list ;) ).. but in the end worth it, because it made my parents happy to see me cross the stage, even though I officially graduate after fall quarter. I decided to walk now because it is the most convenient time for me since I do not know where I will be next spring. Both sets of parents came as well as my sister and her son. It was nice to have everyone who could attend come. I had a pretty good visit with each of them. Spent time with my biological dad on friday (unfortunately my step-mom wasn't feeling well, but got to see her today) and spent time with my biological mom, step-dad, sister, and nephew tonight. I think that my nephew really liked seeing my dorm room and CSH. He thought it was particularly funny that older boys would be playing pranks when they are "older." (like they should know better or something.. ah, the mind of an 8 year old :) )
Over all it was a very hectic day, but now that I look back on it, the rough spots were worth the polished ones.
... oh, and pistons lost the game today, but I am too tired to care at thee moment.. it will probably hit me in the morning ;) Also, my portfolio folder made it to the college. *big sigh of relief* so now all that is left to do is wait and see if I'm accepted and how much they would willing to give me toward a graduate degree:)
