Mailed off my folder to the college today and am looking forward to hearing their decision about my acceptance. Expect a post on that in the weeks to come.
Watched game 2 of the eastern conference finals after a long desired nap. The pistons kicked some serious butt in the first 3 quarters. In the fourth, most people thought they would definitely win, but the heat started playing better and the divide in the score became smaller. Fighting tooth and nail in the last few seconds, I was pleased that they were able to pull through to win the game. I was also very impressed with the heat and how well they played to close the gap. The rest of finals will be interesting, to say the least.
Packed half of my stuff while watching the game and plan to finish the rest tomorrow. Sort of sad to be doing it, but with everyone else packing and leaving it inspires me to move on as well.
After the game I saw the midnight showing of the new X-men movie. It has been a long time since I have seen a movie that I felt was worth $8, but this was definitely one. While it didn't follow the comic book series much and I was upset by a few things that happened with certain characters.. Over all, I was intrigued by the choices the director made and the creative plot that was created. It definitely highlighted/ mimicked a lot of the social issues facing the united states and it was nice to see people rise up against prejudice. (If your confused about what I mean, let me know and we will chat...just don't want to give away the movie to people who have yet to see it ;) )
