Fall in New Hampshire

Judging from the plethora of out of state plates on the road these days, folks are here for the annual foliage fest.

Almost belated Happy Birthday wishes tomaiasaura and Yav14.

I am back from the camping trip. Camping in New England in the autumn is, well, chilly and wet. "I am getting too old for this sort of thing." It was 40 degrees F overnight Friday into Sat. Putting a Nalgene (tm) bottle full of boiling water in the sleeping bag does assure warm feet for the night though.

Being on staff for this training was beyond wonderful. The bonds of fellowship I made with not only my fellow staffers, but the six people I mentored were amazing. I couldn't have predicted how wonderful it would be.

I spent most of today finishing up the laundry and putting the remainder of my camping gear away. The stair project is done, (hoorah), so the next job is to pick out carpet. The "Color" person at the store I have chosen was off today, so I go back tomorrow to get help choosing. Normally, I would go in with a good idea of a shade I wanted, but this time the color combinations are so strange, I need professional help to make sure I make the right choices.

I also converted the bed to "Winter Mode", with the heavier bedspread and blanket. I also swapped out my summer and winter clothes. Of course, this guarentees a hot spell soon.
