Just so you know...
I found out today that nunchaku are a huge amount of fun. But also, hugely dangerous.
Sensei: You know, when you spin them like that you're getting awfully close to your head.
Me: Ah, but is that a sign of luck, or skill?
Sensei: Luck. Stop it!
Using the katana is still the most fun, and we did some really good exercises today where we got to kinda let loose on each other. I did some Jo work last week (Jo is slightly shorter version of the Bo staff) which was good, but not quite as fun as the nunchucks.
I'm supposed to be getting graded at some point and hopefully I'll get my own Bokken soon too. I've managed to avoid serious injury thus far as well.
