I'm really jaded. Like uh, there's this musical about these two young lovers who meet in Italy called The Light in the Piazza. And like, the boy falls in love with the girl and everyone is happy. But then the mother of the girl points out to everyone that the girl is mentally retarded. And the boy doesn't care and loves her and marries her anyway cuz even though she's retarded she's beautiful and has a nice soprano singing voice and yay let's sing neoromantic musical songs. And sorry I just ruined the damn plot for you.
Anyway, I'm not like that boy. I probably would dump the girl. Why? Because I'm...mean. Or uh. I don't know. I just know that I just would, um, because...erm...
Oh, also, the girl is mentally retarded because when she was a kid she was kicked in the head by a shetland pony. I should make that a pre-screening question or something.
"Hi. You said you wanted to be my boyfriend, right? Okay, well...have you ever been, or will you ever plan to be, kicked in the head by a shetland pony? If so, we are probably incompatible. Kthx. Bye."
Also, the guy never realizes the girl is uh, slightly stupid. I mean, how shallow could you possibly be to not notice? I don't know. (It kinda sounds like an episode of
Arrested Development.) But to me, it's not romantic. The guy will probably end up getting sick of pony-kicked girl.
What would you do in this tragic pony situation?
EDIT: Okay, I take it back, Abraham Lincoln was kicked in the head by a pony and he was still smart.
