Fox Sports Net Get Thy Act Together

I don't normally rant or complain much, it's not me, but Fox Sports Net (FSN) has me a bit ticked. Normally, I haven't cared about whether or not they show the playing of the National Anthem or not, but this particular day I would have liked them to. Haliey York, a fem cousin of my Cousin Greg’s wife, Dayna, was to debut as a regular singer of the Anthem and the 7th inning stretch for today’s Angels/Orioles baseball game @ Anaheim Stadium. My Cousin’s family was there to hear her sing. Unfortunately, FSN, in it’s interest for commercial time, empted both Anthem and 7th inning performances. I think FSN and any other sports station should show the playing of the Anthem just out of being. For the family of a debuting singer it’s a very momentous occasion. Granted, that’s probably not reason enough to do something special, but if the sports stations simple showed the playing of the anthem as normal part of programming then families of stadium singers would have a lasting record of their cousins or children’s debut!

To FSN, get thy act together!! Show the playing of the National Anthem, at the very least the Anthem, just to do so! AND DON’T TALK OVER IT.
