I think I am going to make a "Retail Employee's Bill of Rights" along with a "Customer Behavior Checklist".

Heh.

Oh and I got some cool stuff for Christmas, by far the best was 19 $1 Silver Certificates that my Mom gave me from the '30s, '40s and '50s along with 4 $2 bills from the '20s and '50s.

first of all...you are both dorks. i have no clue what the hell either of you are saying, and YES i did think about it! maybe it's just the blonde...

secondly, those silver certificates and red seal $2s were from my grandmother's best friend, who will be turning 94 in a week and a half and who received those actual bills from babysitting.

In the 1920's and 30's.

There are two bunches of three bills that are actually still in sequence from 1935. Think about that for a moment. These bills, which technically remain 'in circulation' (versus a collector who wouldn't ever have used them for anything, thus they remain 'uncirculated'), are pristine. She has had them for 70 some-odd years in her house. One of the $2 bills is actually kinda rare and may be worth upwards of $85 (the rest are around $4 to $5 each).

My grandmother passed away 10 years ago and my mother takes care of her best friend (who, by the way, still lives by herself).

So that is why they are considered my favorite gift this season. Because they aren't just silver certificates. There is a history to them.
