What a Day

Boy, it's been a long day.  I'm so tired, and I don't know why.  First thing this morning (7:30), I had to wake up, so that I could get ready and drive my brothers and sister to my aunt's house by 8:30, so that we could go on the CMR/Baker walk.  That's a walk to raise awareness about mental retardation, for anyone who doesn't know.  That went until noon, and then I went back home.  Pretty much immediately after that, my dad and I left to go back to school.  Partway there, I realized that I have left my brush and my hangars.  No problem, I though, I can just pick up a brush when my dad takes me shopping, and I have hangars in the storage facility that we're renting.  Wrong.  We got down to Cincy about 4:45, thinking that we had plenty of time to go to the storage facility.  Wrong again.  It closes at 1:00 on Sundays.  So my computer, some of my food, my hangars, all of my dishes and silverware, and a few other things that I was planning on grabbing are still in there, safe and sound.  Fat lot of good they're doing me.  So then we decided to go up to Kroger to pick up my prescription.  I guess that my dad has this flexible spending accoung for prescription drugs, but the computer kept declining, so I ended up having to pay with my credit card, which wasn't that big a deal, since I've done it before.  While we were at Kroger, we didn't do any other shopping, though, like I had hoped.  So, we head on over to Xavier so that I can move into my room.  Well, of course, there was a problem with that too.  The front desk at Brockman closed at 4, and it was after 5.  I decided to walk up to the Res Life office to see if anyone there could help us.  Well, getting help would necessitate someone actually being there.  So my dad calls Campus Police to see if they can help up.  While they're doing there thing, a girl happens to walk by and takes pity on me and decides to help.  Well, she can't find my name anywhere on the roster, even though I know for sure that they cashed my dad's check, and we sent it in before the deadline.  So this girl tells me that she's going to just put me in a room, but not to unpack and to call Res Life in the morning to see what they can do about it, and if they'll let me stay in the room she put me in.  So that headache is finally dealt with.  Well, my dad takes my TV into the room to set it up.  Oops, there's no cable cord, and I can't get any stations to work.  I think that I'm going to ask Debbie if she can bring hers down, since she and her family are coming down next weekend to visit her brother for his birthday.  So I have no TV, no computer, and I can't unpack.  Also, apparently there are no food places open anywhere on campus at all on Sundays, so my dad took me to get some Chinese.  That's good for dinner tonight, but other than that, all I have is a box of popcorn and 12 bottles of water.  I dont' think that makes for a very nutricious, well-rounded diet.  I think that tomorrow, since my first class is cancelled, I might walk up to Kroger and the storage facility so that I can have more to eat than that, after talking to Res Life of course.  I am so incredibly bored, and I have no way of alleviating that.  Right now, I'm on a laptop at Gallagher, but they're closing in a little bit less than an hour.  I don't know what I'll do after that, but I'm sure that I'll think of something.  Maybe I'll just go to bed really early.  I would go to the library, but they're closed too.  I can already tell that I'm going to die of boredom on the weekends, and I've only been down here for 3 1/2 hours.  If any of you have my phone number and want to call me, feel free.  I just added minutes to my phone, and it's about the most exciting thing that I can do right about now.
