This brings up the exact concept of cheating, according to men and women.

For the most part, for men, cheating is a physical act.
For the most part, for women, cheating is an emotional act.

(Note caveats: FOR THE MOST PART. There are always exceptions.)

I've actually had this conversation with my wife, (not a specific event, but one of those TiVo pause conversations, discussing what we just watched...) and she has told me that she could probably forgive me if I cheated if it were solely a physical event, but I didn't have any emotional attachment. (Not that I'm ever going to test that, but that gives some insight into the perceptual differences of the definition of cheating.)

So, there are many men who wouldn't classify a virtual relationship as cheating, because there is no physical consummation of the relationship. However, from the woman's point of view, he's emotionally involved with another woman, and therefore cheating.

The flower event is just plain funny and stupid.

Best advice, don't try it, unless you're willing to put up with the extremely bad consequences of infidelity.
