Summary: The fact that Peri's best friend was male had never mattered one way or another until he saved her life and nearly died from it. With a new lease on life, everything about him changes... including his relationship with Peri!
Excerpt:
"Did you know that peri are evil in Persian mythology?" Taken aback by the sudden change in conversation, Peri gaped at him but said nothing. "Just like you."
"I-- I'm not evil," she stuttered nervously.
"Perhaps not, but you have been bad, haven't you Peri? A very, very bad girl."
Wet and craving his touch, Peri dropped her eyes. "I guess so, The--"
"Doctor!" he snapped. "I told you to call me Doctor!"
The crack of his voice had Peri crawling out of her skin with need. Every bit of her felt swollen with lust, but somehow she forced the words out. "You're right, Doctor. I have been a bad girl."
"And you want to be punished for it, don't you, Peri?"
"God yes!" Seeing the stern look in his eye, Peri bent her neck once more and tried again. "Yes, Doctor. Please punish me."
