Yes. *giggle* That army sergeant has got to be one of the stupidest women to ever breathe. I grew up in a military family, so I'm VERY glad to say that she's the exception that proves the rule, which makes her even funnier to me.

And that's an excellent question. When I couldn't google a link to all the emails, I went to otf_wank and was very disappointed that it wasn't up. And the thing is, there is a LOT of splooge here! Google revealed half a dozen neo-con articles lambasting my new internet boyfriend for baiting the recruiter and even trying to set her up. Since this is basically saying that all military personnel are dumb and have no control over their keyboards whenever somebody exercises sarcasm on them, I reject this argument categorically. I haven't checked out the neo-con blogs about this incident because I suspect it would raise my blood pressure to impressive levels, but the otf_wank folks normally eat this sort of stuff for breakfast.

You know, while I don't deny that he was baiting this woman, one would think that she would be capable of realizing this and not falling for it.

So yes, he "entrapped" her, but that doesn't change the fact that her responses were over the top and unnecessary. And stupid.

As for "setting her up"... Well, he couldn't have possibly known the result of posting his resume on line, so that I dismiss out of hand.

Thanks but no thanks. The conversation is plenty wanky in itself, but I suspect the real splooge is to be found on neo-con blogs where they accuse this guy of "entrapping that poor woman." My stomach just isn't strong enough to wade through all of that in search of entertaining highlights. You're welcome to, however! *grin*
