1) I haven't seen too many stories in the Mac/PC fandom, but the ones I've seen I've loved. It's a fun pairing, full of double entredrés, nerds, and light-hearted charm. I suspect that's about to change now that
Mac is going bye-bye. Oh, the ANGST!!! Of course, it's not coming out of the blue since we recently saw the two of them in counseling together, but still.... Where is my angst-free OTP, damnit?!?
2) Sarah's birthday is tomorrow and we've been getting ready for her party on Sunday. We won't be having a family dinner tomorrow night because our church is having a potluck. Everyone on Council knows that it's a last ditch chance to give a good solid pitch before Pledge Sunday, but apparently there's a good cover story. Tomorrow is also Martin Luther's 523rd birthday. I guess I should never again say she's being naughty, but rather that she's following the example of her fellow November tenth-ian by sinning boldly!
*considers the type of mischief that a pink-obsessed bold sinner could get into*
*shudders*
3) We're working our way through Genesis in bible study, and yesterday we covered the creation of Adam and Eve. A couple of the women are pretty fundamental, and one of them used the text in a way that I disagreed wtih in order to comment upon gay marriage. I was so uncomfortable that the unbidden thought passed through my brain, "I wish I was at home working on my femslash story." Fandom folks really are different from non-fandom people.
4) Lastly, are you now, or have you ever been, a member of the Communist Party part of the Buffy fandom? If so, get thee
hence!
yourlibrarian is trying to finish her Ph.D. and needs at least a thousand Buffy fen to fill out her survery. Plus, it's fun!
