The Swirling Vortex of Entropy of My Life

I apologizing for being a rather lame-sauce friend and not really updating much lately.  Every day seems to go by rather quickly.  Anyway...here's a brief update:

Today I had to drop my sociology class. : (  Which is sad because I really liked that class, but I just have too much on my plate and that class requires busy work (along with 2-3 of my other classes) and I just have a hard time keeping up with weekly assignment.  So sad days.  It was a rather large step for me because subconsciously, my brain tells me that dropping a class is equivalent to failure and defeat.  The schedule I aspired for was too big for me.  I couldn't do.  But I remembered last fall when I tried a schedule that was too big for me...didn't turn out too well.  So I dropped it and felt much less stressed. : D  And an even bigger plus: I was taking the class to fulfill a G.E., right?  Well, I found out today that when I officially change my majors around and such (make political science my secondary major), my international politics actually covers the requirement I was fulfilling with the Sociology class (primary major courses can't count for GE, but secondary major ones can!).  SO, I'm not even behind a bit from dropping the class.  I, in essence, just dropped a class I frankly didn't need.  Awesome.  I still get to maintain my hopeful acadmenic plan.

A final observation: I find it humorous the way everyday objects change meaning depending on circumstances.  Yesterday a banana was a delicious fruit and snack to eat when I was hungry.  Today the banana transformed into a utensil with which I get to eat Nutella.  The flavor and integrity of the banana meant nothing; only its utility in helping my consume my Nutella in a socially acceptable manner mattered.

And now I must go marinade the chicken for dinner tomorrow night with Ellen. =D
