Took a break from roleplaying long enough to watch the episode and OMG it was squee.
ROSE!!!!! Rose made of awesome!!! Rose *is* the Doctor these days, with added Rose angles but she's very Doctory, even being no named and people trust her anyway because she's...the person you will follow, like the Doctor.
And the Doctor at the end; he knew, he *knows* it's her as soon as Donna mentioned a girl and parallel worlds. And then he gets slapped with Bad Wolf (which OH MY GOD we all went nuts over that one) and a sick TARDIS and the end of the universe when he's still realizing from the Rose factor.
I feel kind of bed that Donna is not my primary concern in this episode, because it's really all about Donna, but Rose and the Doctor come first in my heart, always have, always will. I love Donna, I do, and love how important she's shown to be here because she ought to be that important but still...Rose is Rose, even when she isn't named.
I bet we get that "No matter what else is happening" scene at the beginning of next episode, which seeing as it follows the end of the universe discovery, no matter what else is going on, the fact that there's Rose is a good thing. Donna doesn't know her, but the Doctor does and he's going to smile so cutely when he thinks about it and I STILL CANNOT WAIT TO SEE HIS REACTION TO HER.
ATTACK OF THE CAPSLOCK OF SQUEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
U thunk we got proof that the Doctor was suicidal during TRB and he needed Donna to stop him from giving into death and destruction, we always knew the second but the first seems likely now too. And while I expect Rose is here after PiC for her I wonder how long she's been popping between universes for.
Rusty does effects of slight changes to the universe better than a lot of people. The world really wasn't the same without the Doctor in it and he wouldn't be there without Donna, and each thing that happened changed the next. I like that.
I should probably get back to monkey Jedi fun, I'll probably have more thoughts as the next oh so long week progresses.
