Please Pray With Me (If you recieved an e-mail with this title, their identical)
Hi!
I’m writing to you again to let you have a part in an upcoming outreach to Honduras. April 1-8 a team from Crossroads community church will be going down Nacaome, Honduras. The plan is to serve the local missionaries, Brian and Jacky Messinger, in any way we can! There is construction, medical work, women’s ministry, children’s ministry, and evangelism planned. So how can you have a part of this? Good question!
Romans 12:4-5 says, “For just as we have many members in one body and all the members do not have the same function, so we, who are many, are one body in Christ, and individually members of one another.” This passage is part of Paul’s discussion of the church, and the role that we all play in it. It applies to missions as well!
For every outreach, here at home or across the seas, there are many different rolls to play. Some who pray, some who help financially, some who support the team by their friendship, some who plan the trip, some who take care of details, and some who participate in the out reach.
I have been given opportunities to serve in a variety of capacity’s over the years. I’ve planned, I’ve prayed, I’ve helped send, and I’ve gone! Most recently I was incredibly blessed by being a part of an outreach in Mexico last April. My Mom and I gave a presentation for the women’s ministry and it was awesome to see how God used me in ministry I’ve never imagined being a part of! Right now I’m looking forward to (Lord willing) going to Honduras in April, and I could use your support.
I don’t know what role God has called you to play in this trip, all I know is that you have been a friend and a support in my life. So I’m asking that you pray for me!
Pray for:
~ God’s preparation in the life of every team member.
~ My stress level during the next few months as we prepare, my life has been very hectic lately!
~ Finances. Lord willing, we have 3 members of my family going and we each need to raise $1295. Our first dead-line of $400 (for plane tickets) is due January 8th. Pray that God supplies!
~ That God would be working ahead of us to prepare the work in Honduras.
~ For soft hearts in the people of Honduras.
