The One About More Blogs, Fashion, Dragons, and What-Nots

For the life of me, I still can't decide which is the best blogging site/tool. Blogger? GJ? LJ? Wordpress? Because of some recent developments at Hogwarts Castle, I opened a Wordpress account. I loved it. It doesn't have Blogger's flexibility in terms of layout (or maybe that's only because I'm using the free service and haven't installed it in my own server), but the other features are fabulous. So now my account there will be used for posting anything remotely literary.

I have a new favorite show. Project Runway! I've managed to catch the past two episodes of its Discovery Travel and Living Season 1 stint, and it's great so far! I'm not much of a fashion person, but the challenges are quite interesting, and the results even more so.

Last night, I caught "Dragons: A Fantasy Made Real", a fictional scientific investigation into the evolution and life of dragons. Trying to answer the puzzle of why there are common mythological and folkloric references about dragons in different civilizations on different continents, the program follows the fictional adventures of three museum employees whose quest begins in the mountains of Romania where the remains of a gigantic creature was found buried in the ice. They attempt to investigate the dragon's physiology, behavior, and evolution by following a trail of artifacts and remains. I hope I'll be able to catch it again on its reruns. It's recommended viewing for dragon junkies. :)

A new tomb was discovered in the Valley of the Kings! Tomb KV63 was found by American archeologists during a routine excavation of a neighboring tomb 84 years after the discovery of Tutankhamen's tomb, proving that the Valley has yet to yield all its secrets, as was previously thought. 5 coffins were found inside the tomb, and egyptologists speculate KV63 is not a royal tomb, but probably belongs to a royal court official. More details here.

This is probably one of the best Potter websites around. Potter Index allows visitors to perform searches, and yields the Chapter and Page numbers in the HP books where references to the search criteria may be found. Two thumbs up for this site!
