The Day I Deserted the Dessert Plate

I was in training for the past 2 days and the whole time, I was suffering from Online Withdrawal Syndrome, wishing I had a laptop so I could take advantage of the hotel's wireless services, and maybe check emails and do some surfing while waiting for my classmates and tutor to arrive. But no. I am merely a rank and file employee, and I don't have laptop privileges. :p

During these training sessions, I always tend to look forward to lunch or dinner. I seldom eat weird or foreign food, so it's always a treat to find out what's on the menu for the day. Usually it's something I've never tasted before. Heck, once, they were generous enough to just let us loose at the buffet tables, so that was fun.

Yesterday, we had Indian cuisine. The soup was interesting enough. Mulligatawny. Sounds weird, but I have heard Anthony Bourdain talk about it before, so I dived right in. It was a spicy type of soup. It was okay, I actually kinda liked it. It was a huge contrast to the bland cream of mushroom soup of the previous day.
