Something was different. They were no longer alone on that icy tundra of a planet.
Someone - a certain someone, his presence concealed within the Force though - has tripped the alarm on their ship, the warning cackling through to their radios.
Leo lets go of the rope he was holding in shock. The rope that was keeping Kira on the edge of the tomb.
"Leo!" She shrieks, grabbing the stone structures on the side to keep from tumbling in as Leo grabs at the rope, tugging it taut again.
"Uh. Sorry. Jumpy, I guess."
Kira gives him a scathing look before stepping far away from the edge. "Shavit." She unhooks herself and tosses the harness to the ground. "Let's uh, be on alert. And not go in the tomb just now. Dead ends and potential bad guys--"
"Potential?" Leo sounds a bit shrill. "It's not the kriffing bakery, delivering delicious sweet breads!"
"Okay one, stop yelling. And two, don't you kriffing lose it now, kid. I can't deal with a blubbering Jedi if it all goes to hell."
It takes all of a minute before a very familiar voice interrupts their chatter, breaking over the comlinks. "When the alarm on your ship goes off, you're supposed to come investigate. Y'know, so it's not stolen. Unless you want to be stuck here?"
Kira grits her teeth and shuts her eyes for a long moment as she hears Revan's voice. It's familiar and warm and she's missed him. She yanks the radio off her belt as Leo utters a mantra of "oh my gods" over and over again, his hand clutching his chest.
"I think you've just killed my assistant, darling." Kira sighs. "What are you doing here? And why are you on my ship?"
She points a finger at Leo, hissing, "Did you not lock it up?"
