I just got back from the GREAT indian adventure with Mom. She came out for 3 weeks. We went all over the place, up to Darjeeling for a few days to sure the Himalayas. We got up ssuper early top see the sunrise over Kenchendonza, the 3rd largest mountain in the world. Mom still swears it was Everest. I decided to let her keep her delusions. It was finally cold, you have no idea how happy I was to freeze! Our hotel was awesome, very sweet Tibetan couple ran it and made sure we were will taken care of. The hotel was an old heritage property, with a fireplace in each room. It was sweet.
Then off to Assam to see rhinos, gibbons, elephants, and loads of birds. It very cool and so peaceful. The lodge was like summer camp for adults. Complete with a campfire! No tigers but that was ok.
Finally, we were off to Jaipur and Jodhpur. The forts were awesome, the audio your was well worth the ticket for entry. Really good tour.
