Litter rant
So I have finicky cats. Or really, I have Houdini who's finicky. Rewind seems to give a rat's ass where he goes to the bathroom as long as ZOMG IT'S HIS!! ALL HIS!!! NO ONES BUT HIS!!!! I'm hoping it's a phase as it makes cleaning the box an interesting chore.
I'm not a big fan of clay litter. It's annoying, sticks to the bottom of the box like cement (as my cats go in the same place in the box) and the dust isn't good for Rewind. I've been looking into alternative litters. Houdini won't use crystals. Trust me, we went through that one already. The wood shavings was ok, but he preferred clay.
On the advice of the cattery I got some paper pellet litter because it was light weight for a big bag and I was gonna put it my air freight. I used those when I got Rewind because they didn't have the dust and I really liked them. They were pretty cool, Rewind didn't seem to care and Houdini wasn't thrilled but there was another box with clumping clay. I went to buy another bag of it and there was this other brand, Papurr. I wasn't sure about it at first, but man! This stuff ROCKS!! It looks just like clay, Houdini likes it and there's no cement at the end of the week. It does a good job combating odors if you change it weekly. Which I have to do anyway.
I thought my search was over only not so much. Nobody seems to be selling it nomore!!! RAWR!!! I've a little of it left, hopefully enough until the Yesterday's News shows up, but I'm really disappointed now.
