Well, yesterday was an interesting day. I helped GeorgeAnne with her college photography class project. She took pictures of me and her friends. I posted them at my gallery at cosplay.com
Everything was going well until we decided to go to the mall. To quote my post at cosplay.com : "I was not a big fan with the local security. After taking a picture, security told me "no photography allowed in the mall". After 5PM the mall has a policy, anyone under the age of 21 has to vacate the premesis. I'm not surprised, its a very eliteist mall. If you don't conform to their standards, you aren't welcome there. But anyway, I got carded multiple times to check my age, eventually I was given an arm band to show I was "of age", so security would lay off me. Eventually I decided with my friends "lets get out of here, I don't feel welcome here." So we left, I felt I was going to get arrested and detained a few times. I did get one good reaction, someone saw me and said: "Jedi!" lol But needless to say security didn't like me. I got the distinct feeling they wanted me to 86 out of there. *sigh* "When in Rome" huh? But then again I felt "this place is too eliteist, this isn't a place for someone who keeps with the tenets of modesty and humility." Hell the place boots all people under the age of 21 out the door at 5PM. And since I look so young, yeah I was a magnet for security. They say America is "Land of the free", but its becoming more of an authoritarian dictatorship, and its so hypocritical. However, I'm also different, and people are always afraid of what's different.
" Tiss a truth in our world. But I didn't let it get to me.
Lately I've been reading "Meditations", by Marcus Aurelius (an emperor of Rome. He was also featured in the movie 'Gladiator'). Its been quite the read I'll say! He writes in the beginning about his values of life, and where he learned them, and also talks about wisdom. If anyone is interested in reading it, here's a link:
