ummm whaaa
so i was reading toby spark's LJ and it inspired me to actually update mine. i know, i know. its been almost a year since i've even looked at my own journal. its kind of weird. i look back at things i wrote and thought and i say to myself "hmm. that all sounds stupid."
so much has happened since then, but i dont have to write it all down, i remember most of it.
it's like 3 am, and i cant sleep because i had one of those new energy drinks that are awesome but not awesome when you want to sleep. i'm also trying to take some sweet pictures, but apparently at this point in the day i'm not very photogenic.
i'm leaving for new york tomorrow to start recording our full-length. all in all, recording is my least favorite part of being in a band. i mean, its fun a lot of the time, but its pretty tedius, and really the best part of every day is when you are done and listening back to whatever you've tracked. i wish i could just fast-forward through the work of it and get to the part where it's done and sounds good. but i guess i'll get some satisfaction out of knowing that it sounds good because we all started from scratch and wrote some really awesome songs. oh, and this new van i got is amazing, and i drive it everywhere, and i owe my parents sooo much money for it but i dont care, its so worth it.
but anyways, new york. i'm going to be there for like 3 weeks, and i'm pretty excited about that. a lot of perks, such as sleeping until noon every day, probably getting take out chinese food at least once a day, plenty of time to book our US tour for the spring, and also time to go hang around in the city for more than an hour. its going to be a lot of fun i think.
