RPS and Shatterproof.

forever and a day since I posted.

time to bring the world up to speed.

Rock Paper Scissors

- there was some crazy drama with the internet show right after Thanksgiving. CBS dude called up with his own version of RPS after telling me it was dead. The problem was, I had brought my friend, David, on to cowrite and develop the series with me. The intention was to make it independent of a studio. We had already gotten nibbles from advertisers and investors. So, the thin, anti-Micah version at cbs would not only be a waste of a good idea, it would take the wind out OUR sails. So, I had to protect the now "David and Micah" version of the show from being killed by CBS.

- That led to us getting back in bed with CBS. Things have been steadily moving ahead despite what seems to be a lack of faith from CBS (i think it comes from a combo of our lack of industry experience and their inability to read any of the material we give them).

- Now we are trying to get the ball rolling with contract stuff with CBS, so we can have something on paper.

It is actually pretty exciting, Dave and I are really close to getting this thing produced by CBS which would make us staff writer/director/producers for CBS. Hardly a bad first step into the industry, if I may say so.

- Also, we are in preliminary talks with a few other studios on the project. I had a couple real light nibbles with ESPN, and maybe Comedy Central.

- Plus we are almost halfway towards getting it financed independently. So all in all, there are many possible paths to take with this. It is now just a matter of choosing the best path and hoping nothing goes wrong.

So yeah, my career feels like it is right on the verge of taking off.

Also, Jesse moved out during new years, so it is time for me to start looking around for a new place. I will probably end up subletting some place or moving in with some random person. I really dont know even what my near future looks like, so it is hard to commit to a location or a lease.

Until then, I will be doing the labourious task of cleaning the apartment and packing.

Also, I am almost done with the major editing steps of Shatterproof. Now I am actively soliciting composers for the final score of the film. The hope is to submit to festivals before the end of spring...

I think that catches me up to the world.

Basically - busy busy busy. but all on good stuff.
Not much complaining from my camp, no doubt.
