It's been a while!
Hmmm... nothing to write about. Maybe I will let you know a little about me. My name is Jamie Douglas Burgess and I was born on July 8, 1979 in Mt. Vernon, Ohio. My dad was 24 and my mom was 18. We lived there for a few years, my sister and I, then moved to Panama City, Fl. in 1982. I have been here ever since. My parents obviously got married too fast... mainly because of my unexpected arrival into this world... and some problems insued. My dad drank quite a bit and loved to take his anger out on me with his belt when he saw fit. HAH... I remember getting popped by the belt for crying during the last episode of Fraggle Rock. "Stop crying like a little girl," my dad said. "I'll give you something real to cry about." Let's just say that my mom couldn't put up with it for much longer and they ended up getting a divorce when I was about 8. We still had the occasional visits with him on the weekends, wherever he would be living each month... it always changed. One day, he asked my sister and I if we would like to see our grandparents in Wyoming... the cool grandparents that always got us the best gifts. "Your mom said it would be fine, but we would have to leave tonight." Um yeah... after a 3 day bus trip and several calls from my mother to my grandparents in Wyoming, I soon realized that we had been kidnapped. Living in Wyoming for 3 months was actually pretty fun. It snowed while we were there and I actually went to school. The school was a lot of fun and I made friends easily. After a few months, we had to move back to Florida... and then my life would continue to change...
