Had a great birthday yesterday - thanks for all the well wishes :-)

Started the day off with a lovely lie in, opened all my cards and prezzies and then headed to the city with Purr for a bite to eat and a general mosey round the shops. We failed in the quest to find me a plain black hoody with a zip-up front (I don't think they actually exist in Leicester shops - I've been searching for two months now!) so I settled for a James Herbert box set and charvage entertainment.

Got back, showered and changed and then headed off to Purrs house. Things got a bit bad then. Approaching the foxhunter roundabout I pulled out of the left hand lane queue and managed to scrape the car in front of me. Didn't do a lot of damage to the other persons car (put a load of my cars paint on his wheel arch) but my car looked(s) a right state. The guy was cool about it all though (it was his company car) and after a quick chat today we've settled things privately. This put me on a bit of a downer but the thought that we were gonna see Bill Bailey at the Demontfort Hall soon lifted my mood :)

Before the gig Wruf treated us to a lovely meal in Nandos where I bumped into a couple of my old school friends that I haven't seen in over 12 years! Had a quick catch up with them which was pretty cool :)

We made it to the show with plenty of time to spare and on our way to our seats we bumped into jisha78 (bearing gifts! yay!) along with her bro and his gf and had a very brief chat before getting settled down for Bill :)

The show itself was fantastic. The guy is a bloody genius - mixing daft and intelligent humour effortlessly, with a unique, loveable troll-like delivery. He had me laughing out loud all the way through both sets and nearly in tears at one stage! He encouraged crowd participation too which added a more personal feel to it all - and created some very funny moments too! I could go on singing his praises a lot more but I really don't need to. If you're not a fan go see him live - you'll become one ;)

So that was my birthday - a great day full of prezzies, great company, a little scrapeage and loads and loads of laughter :)

YAY!!! *heehee*
