Last night's jazz concert was ok. For the most part it was fine, a few of the solos were lacking and I realized that Dr. G was right, a band is only as good as the soloists make it. There's only one solution to that problem - next time we get music, get the changes, and get a solo of my own. I'm learning a lot in the improv class I'm taking and I KNOW I can do better than Hadley. What a hack.
Tonight is a women's basketball game and then the U.N.I.T. at Rusty's next door. I'm going to see them - yes even at a lame venue like Rusty's because now I feel even more of an affinity towards Gravy since he joined my band. Life is good otherwise.
I'm thinking of having a President's Day Party next Monday. That is if my house survives this weekend's workshop.
