Oh yeah - I'm 21 now!

I had a great birthday, despite the sickness.

Dinner on Wednesday night with 12 friends at Buca di Beppo was fun.  I have so many friends in different groups it was interesting to get them all together. Everyone seemed to have a lot of fun.

Thursday morning (my actual bday) I got on a plane with my mom at 8am for Vegas. Got there around noon Vegas time. Met my mom's parents and my great grandpa. I turned 21 on Thursday, my mom turned 45 Friday and my great grandpa turned 95 Saturday. It was a great trip even if it wasn't too wild - if I'd been home I couldn't have partied anyway since I was taking antibiotics. My family is really fun when it comes to Vegas and I have the rest of my life to go back and be crazy. We made really great memories I'd never take back.

We went to see Phantom of the Opera, shopped, played a LOT of blackjack (pretty much broke even which I consider winning), had a lot of great dinners out, took my picture with Elvis =P and I even saw Wilmer Valderama at the Venetian!

Came home exhausted but I'm recovering....just in time for another crazy (birthday!) weekend in Tallahassee with Lisa, Taylor, Andrea and Megan. I just bought a hot pink mini-dress for the candy-themed party Sunday night. Can't wait =) Nothin' like a good road trip!

My buddy Michael at work is leaving this week to intern full time at the state Senate in Tallahassee and I'm very sad to see him go. I had class with him 2 days a week last semester and the other 3 days we worked together all day. Strictly platonic - but we became really good friends. We're really similar people who see the world (especially the law world) the same way. I know we'll continue our friendship and professional relationship as time goes on - you know how you can just tell when people will be in your life for a long time? Work won't be the same without him to hang out and joke around with and fix all the machines I'm constantly breaking.

The times are a changin' I guess...
