does your husband know?

My work hours have been shit for sculpting lately, but I finally got the chance the other day and started on darkangelilith's Polis :3 I very strongly misjudged how hard Poliwhirl would be--I originally planned to get both done in one night, but it took so long that I stopped after I had finished him. I'm really happy with the result though, hope you like it! :)

Man, this guy was a challenge. Even just the base body. Everything is so ROUND. Great practice though! The gloves really stumped me and took me a lot of tries, but I suck at drawing hands, so that's not surprising. Some of the tools I bought came in handy. I really like the fine detail needle, it's a lot easier having a handle instead of just using my knife. Fall Out Boy was pretty much my soundtrack while sculpting this. XDDD

Here's the reference I sketched myself! I always do this so I know how it should look roughly from the front/side while I'm sculpting. It really helps me out because I'm dumb. XD I thought it would be really cute if they were looking at eachother, since they are a set.

Hangin' out with Chocolate! Who I still haven't sent off because I still have to make zenity a Kuitaran to finish our trade. <3

Comparison with a kid! This seems to be my standard sculpture size, haha.

And for once, I didn't burn the bottom! So I pretty much have to bake sculptures at 175F for 35 minutes. My oven is fucked up.

I hope you like him Renee! I might make Poliwag tomorrow night (tonight, but I still haven't slept). :3
