Getting the sad news out of the way, I think I mentioned that my uncle was in the hospital. He apparently passed away this morning. My only regret is that I didn't know him very well, but that wasn't really my fault... he wasn't around much. What I do remember of him was warm and friendly, though. Always giving gifts even if he barely knew me. Goodbye, uncle Billy.
I couldn't resist any longer, so I started SMT III: Nocturne. I didn't play that long, but I like it a lot already from what little I played. I'm glad that it has the same view control as Persona 3, combined with what little I did play of Shin Megami Tensei, only a lot less basic. The demons are really cute. I broke into a bit of a giggle fit because of the Kodamas, and Pixie is pretty adorable. The flow of the graphics, music, battles and scenes is just great. I can tell this is likely going to become one of my favourite games. lol, I named Hitoshura Hirokazu "HIP" Tanaka. I feel like such a crumby Megaten fan for being so interested in it for so long without really doing anything about it. At least I'm trying to fix that now.
And on a whim, I checked up on Gemini's
Persona 2: Innocent Sin translation project and was surprised to see that it had picked up again, and even has a blog much like Mother 3's. It seems to be going along really nicely. I'm really excited to play it, not just because of the canon gay, but... well, that is a big part, I guess! I just love Kaneko's art and character designs so much. lol, I like how this is in the FAQ:
"8. Is Jun gay?
Sure like hell. And yeah, you can make Tatsuya gay as well."
Well, yeah. I think anyone who's interested in the game would've known that that and Hitler were the main reasons speculated for the game not being localized. >_> Anyway, if his ToP patch says anything, Gemini does really nice work. Having two fan-translations to look forward to makes the wait a little easier!
