Notes/Warning : Use of the Pharaoh’s TRUE name from the AE Arc along with the names of the 7 advisors and their monster’s names (as best as I can recall them anyhow), so if you’re not curious, don’t read. No storyline spoilage of AE though. And YES! Once again, my infamous Yami calling Seto “Blue” in this story once again *giggles* BTW…anyone know the Egyptian word for Blue? I might be able to use that. And I need some Egyptian cursing if someone can help please!
PROLOGUE - Ancient Egypt
Once upon a time, there was a handsome, powerful (and did I mention sexy as hell?) Pharaoh. He was revered and feared by many. He never had to want for nothing. He was guided by his 7 advisors - Aishizu, Set, Karim, Ankunamadin, Mahaado, Shada and Shimon.
However, although the young Pharaoh had everything his heart could desire, there was one void that was left unfilled and untouched…
His heart.
Little did he know that the gods knew of their child’s secret and set a plan in motion…
“Pharaoh…”
Crimson met Sapphire as he looked to see his head of security standing in his doorway. He set aside the papyrus he was reading as he sat up on his bed and nodded as his advisor entered.
“What brings you here, Set?” he asked as the taller man took off his headdress and sat it down beside him as he took a seat.
“As you know, with the kingdom being at peace currently, Akunamadin thinks that it’s the perfect time to try and do some peace negotiations with our neighboring countries,” he said as he looked to see the shorter man shaking his head and sighing.
“Set…that’s just a fancy way of Akunamadin saying he thinks it’s time I settled down and produced an heir…” he fell backwards onto his bed looking up at the ceiling.
“Well…ahem…I suppose, but your highness…,”
“Set, it’s alright to call me by my given when you and I are alone cousin,” he peered out from one eye over at the other grinning.
“Fine, Atem. You’re such a brat sometimes,” he sighed as he lay down beside him on his back.
“Well…,” he grinned as he moved and lay his head on the other’s stomach. “I’d say that’s your fault”
“And just how the hell is it my fault? I can’t help if you didn’t like to pay attention to your studies and always went around causing trouble, yet blaming it on me,” the other said in a nonchalant tone.
“You’re such a jackass,” the Pharaoh chuckled running a hand through his cousin’s dark locks smiling. The taller then reached and hugged his younger cousin to him. No one would ever suspect Set was such a caring person considering his demeanor towards everyone else.
Running his slender fingers through his cousin’s tri-colored locks, he observed his cousin as he just lay there with him, the only sound resounding in the room were their heartbeats.
“Aren’t you lonely?”
“Not when I’m with you,” the other smiled as he reached up and touched the other’s face.
“Atem…” Sapphire met Crimson as the other started to lean in closer…and closer…
“Pharaoh!!!”
Set and Atem separated just as Shimon and Mahaado with several guards came to his room as they put back on their headdresses and Set waited for him to proceed him before following him.
“What’s going on?” he asked as he walked off with Shimon and the others as Set remained behind a moment looking after his cousin’s retreating form.
Truth be told, Set loved his younger cousin, yet…had kept that secret to himself. He knew that his younger cousin and him could never be happy in that way because he had the weight of the kingdom on his shoulders, not to mention someday he needed to produce an heir to carry on.
However, with his position, he was able to be by his cousin’s side, even if it was as his advisor. He did pray to the gods though that his cousin find true happiness someday.
Funny thing about time is that someday might come sooner than thought…
“PHARAOH! WATCH OUT!!!” Shimon cried as the monster headed right towards the young man.
“DIOS!” Set summoned his monster from his duel disk as the monster came forth and blocked the monster’s attack as he ran to the Pharaoh’s side.
“ILLUSORY MAGICIAN!” Mahaado summoned his monster as it came forth from the duel disk as he ordered it to attack. Set helped the Pharaoh over to another place out of the way from the monster, unnoticing a moving shadow following them.
Set helped him set down against a stone slab as he began to tend to his injuries, even though he wasn’t a healer of any means, and he wrapped his arms in bandages.
“Are you all right?” he looked at him with true concern and gasped as he gasped in pain struggling to sit up. “No, stay still”
“Se…WATCH OUT!” he moved and pushed Set aside just as a barrage of dark arrows fired from the shadowed area.
“PHARAOH!!!!”
Shimon and Aishizu ran over to where the two were and found a most startling sight…
“Oh by the gods…”
Set held his cousin’s bloody form in his arms sobbing uncontrollably. “Atem…Atem…please, don’t leave me…”
“S-someday…” Atem whispered as he looked up into his cousin’s saddened face once more giving him a small smile as he tried to reach for him, but…
“ATEM!!!”
Atemu’s Voice :
Someday, when I am no longer burdened with the responsibility, when I am no longer Pharaoh…that day will I be yours…
Set awoke from his bedchambers covered in a cold sweat. Once again, he’d dreamt of his cousin. Every night since his death, he’d dreamt of him. He looked over to see his Millennium Rod glowing along with the Millennium Puzzle. He got out of bed as he walked over and picked up the items as he gasped seeing flashes of different images of different people of a different time, including a tri-haired boy with wide violet eyes. At first, he thought it might be his cousin, but knew that couldn’t be true.
‘Who are these people? What is this? Is this to be my destiny in the future? What does any of this mean?’ he was quite befuddled by everything he’d just seen.
Atemu’s Voice :
Someday…
‘Atem? What do you want me to do?’ he thought as he then glanced upon his Millennium Rod as he picked it up and began to unsheathe the dagger from the staff part as he held it up and plunged it deep into his chest as he fell to his knees gasping for breath. ‘Please, gods, grant our unselfish wish…Atem…’ he fell to the ground dead in an instant. The items then began to glow as they floated in mid-air as a voice echoed in Set’s mind.
‘Your wish will be granted…but at a cost. Your memories will be lost to you…’
‘But Atem and I will be reunited?’
‘As you both have honestly wished. We want nothing more than his happiness…go now our child…’
Someday was coming very soon…
1 : Till We Meet Again
Summary: Yugi’s cousin comes to town and Kaiba has a run-in with him…literally…and something unexpected develops…
It was a warm, spring day in the busy town of Domino. The town was buzzing with excitement for the upcoming festival; however, one person in town had different reasons for being excited at his moment. His name…Mutou Yugi.
Yugi was a sweet boy with soft ivory skin, wide lavender eyes, a big heart and bright smile to match. Although he didn’t make up much in height, he made up for it with his zealous spirit. He was surrounded by a nice circular of friends : Honda, Jounouchi and his younger sister Shizuka, Anzu, Ryou, Malik, Mokuba and his elder brother Seto, although Seto was a bit standoffish to them, but still considered a friend.
The newest addition to their group was a green-eyed boy named Ryuuji Otogi. Otogi had his own game shop that opened up nearby to Yugi’s grandfathers and offered and exciting new game that found its match with Duel Monsters…Dungeon Dice Monsters. However, that wasn’t the only thing that found a match…
FLASHBACK - Two weeks ago
“You…you love me?” Yugi blinked looking at the other as Otogi knelt down before him taking one of his hands in his.
“Yes, Yugi…ever since I saw you that day when I came to your school and saw you talking with your friends…you were awesome and I wanted to get to know you…so…”
Yugi blushed a couple shades redder, finding his heart suddenly in his throat. He’d never been asked out before! Sure, he’d had crushes before, but too shy to ever ask anyone out himself.
“Otogi…,” Yugi smiled as he threw his arms around the other teen, feeling tears of happiness run down his cheeks.
“I love you…,” Otogi whispered as he released the other from the embrace as he leaned forward and captured his lips in a sweet kiss…
END FLASHBACK
However, Yugi’s current happiness was for an entirely different reason…

“Yugi, calm down babe. I’m sure your cousin’ll be here soon,” Otogi laughed.
“I’m sorry you guys. I haven’t seen him in a couple of years although we’ve kept in touch through letters and phone calls once in a while,” Yugi chuckled.
[And over those couple of years, you still haven’t managed to grow an inch] a deep voice purred as Yugi shot up from his seat turning around as Crimson met Amethyst.
{You’re a fine one to talk! You’re still the same height as when I saw you last too!} Yugi replied in the same language.
“Oh my God…,” Jou gasped.
“They could be twins…except for that guy’s tan complexion and a bit taller height,” Anzu observed as everyone looked between the two teens as they chatted and laughed a bit. Otogi stepped forward tapping Yugi on the shoulder.
“Yes, koi?” Yugi asked looking back at his boyfriend not noticing the raised eyebrow his cousin gave him as Otogi nodded towards the other.
“Um…does he speak Japanese at all, or…?” he wondered as a deep laugh resounded in the air as they looked over at the crimson-eyed teen.
“Yes, I do as well as 4 other languages…Otogi-kun, right?” the crimson-eyed boy smirked holding out his hand for a handshake. Otogi blinked taken by surprise then laughed taking his hand shaking it. “Welcome to Domino”
After getting introduced and gathering what current luggage he brought along with him, the group headed towards the parking area.
“Yami, come on let’s go! Ji-chan’s eager to see you!” Yugi called as he went on ahead. Yami laughed as he pulled his luggage along coming up to round the same corner he’d seen Yugi round a moment ago as he ended up colliding with black and white as he fell backwards onto the floor.
“I-ital…,” he winced.
“Sorry…I’m in a bit of a rush…,” the other said as he reached down and offered an arm to the other as Yami latched onto it and got to his feet.
“I…,” Yami looked up towards the other’s face as he stood speechless at the sight before him.
‘There’s no way…’ Kaiba thought looking back at the other’s face. ‘He looks like…’
“Yami! Yami, come - oh hey, Kaiba,” Honda said as he went and picked up Yami’s suitcase leading him away, unnoticing the pair’s eyes never leaving one another until the very last moment.
Fate’s plan had been set into motion.
Note : Now the rest of this will be Kaiba narrating on his thoughts about his thoughts on Yami and what’s been going on with an odd phenomena he’s been experiencing lately…
Was that…my dream? Those eyes look so familiar…
What am I thinking about? I don’t have time for this nonsense! I have to get on the plane…it’s been a crazy morning…I think I’ll get some shut eye for a moment…

‘I’m never far…and we’ll meet again…’ Crimson eyes closed in finality as his hand slipped out of the other’s grasp.
‘T-talk to me…please…oh gods…’ the other hugged his lover’s still form to him as he picked him up in his arms. ‘ATEM!!!!’ he screamed into the sky as a white burst filled the atmosphere..
My dreams are nothing but of this lately. That’s why my surprise over the appearance of that guy today…he’s so similar to the one in my dream…
Why these dreams have started or how, I don’t know…although right before they did, I remember receiving a odd package in the mail. It was of a rod made of pure gold that had the eye of Horus on it. It seems familiar to me as well, although I can’t say why though.
Also…there was a bit of familiarism when we touched as well. It was…well…to put it bluntly…I felt like I wanted to fuck him right then and there!
I know it’s been a while since I’ve had any, but goddamn, I know I’m not that desperate…
But, still…I can’t help but feel an odd attraction around him. He’s not too bad on the eyes either actually…
Ok…I think it’s time to get back focused again…
