Take Seiji was self-loathing as he came to a pet shop once upon a chilly night, imagining if the lives of the little puppies are harder than his. That’s when he saw Aiba - optimistic and courageous about everything. He even suggested buying a puppy for his mom, although that would mean more money and Seiji doesn’t think his body could take on more jobs on top of being a construction worker. But Aiba was there as a friend, as a shoulder to lean on when he had a hard time opening up to anyone else.
What changed is that Seiji suddenly felt nervous around Aiba and the need to buy something - anything - to give him an excuse to be there at the pet shop yet keep a distance from Aiba. Seiji could see Aiba’s pout from the lack of interaction lately (save for when he’s actually at the counter) but Seiji was also doing Aiba a favor to buy dog leashes that he didn’t need (although Aiba didn’t ask him to buy tons of them enough to give Seiji a multi-colored clothesline in his own room).
Seiji sighed, thinking that the planned house is becoming farther away due to his useless spending but doesn’t regret it when Aiba gives him a “See you soon!” before he exited the shop.
For Ojou-sama (except it’s on his precious afternoon teatime)
Kageyama only chanced upon the pet shop because it’s in the neighborhood where his lady, Hosho Reiko was conducting a murder investigation with Detective Kazamatsuri and he needed a cover. He bought an expensive cleaning agent safe for pets and found the employee’s genuine sales talk surprisingly engaging that he lost track of Reiko.
The next time he visited though, he was raving to Aiba how good the product was and was visiting to buy a bottle every week, even if having it shipped from overseas in bulk will be easier and much more convenient. Not to mention the fact that he was visiting gorgeous Aiba during his precious and privileged 3 o’clock afternoon teatime. Kageyama convinces himself that this was for Ojou-sama but fails when his own thoughts reprimanded him that he need not sacrifice his own tea indulgence for work.
But he’s happy talking with Aiba, occasionally bringing his face albeit too close for comfort, telling him if there’s something wrong with his head whenever he blabs about unusual things just like he does with his lady and always feels butterflies in his stomach whenever he sees Aiba avert his eyes elsewhere, away from his gaze when he did so.
Afternoon teatime butler privilege is now Aiba visiting time - even if Aiba serves the worst tasting tea in the world.
Let the games begin!
When Aiba noticed the tense atmosphere inside the usually cheerful pet shop he immediately joked if the four already knew each other due prior to this meeting due to the stares.
Wrong move. Aiba felt the ambiance getting heavier as Seiji glared at Kageyama who glared at Shuntaro who glared at Enomoto. Even Enomoto who is usually calm gives icicle gazes to Seiji and he didn’t show emotion most of the time.
“Guys what happened?” Aiba finally asked as he introduced all of them one by one to each other and by the time he finished, he felt like that a murder is going to occur.
Nobody gives an answer though as they busied themselves into learning their rivals for the exquisite Aiba Masaki and all of them were thinking the same thing:
Let the battle for Aiba Masaki’s heart begin.

I really like the titles for each section too, and especially enjoyed Kageyama and Enomoto's scenarios. :3

Kageyama and Enomoto's scenes were the easiest. Seiji is hard because he's serious and stuff :D and I'm glad the sub-titles are to your liking. :D

and the winner is...
Shuntaro, Enomoto, Kageyama and Seiji has gathered again one fateful day outside the pet shop when they saw someone else:
He looked like Aiba only with longer hair, sporting a 7/8-length Capri pants and a down vest, with a vintage camera dangling on his neck. His eyes crinkle when he smiles and they were pretty convinced that it could be Aiba's brother, or better yet, a twin.
They didn't expect Aiba to blush and be so obvious that he has a crush on that man though. And they didn't expect the daughter of the said man to actually cheer on Aiba by calling him "Papa", while he calls his real father "Masamune". They all have the same thought while the scene unfolds in front of them: having a man with an adorable should be against the rules.
One by one, they left without saying their 'hi's or 'goodbye's. Shuntaro went away first, thinking if he should adopt Daisuke just so he could have an ace up in his sleeve. Seiji went next, thinking if he should sell the leashes he bought in bulk. Enomoto didn't leave, thinking about a plan to just lock Masamune away in some far away cage when Aoto called him, and Kageyama immediately investigated Masamune and his daughter, all the while serving Ojou-sama to the best of his abilities.
I told you its unexpected. I can whip up a Aiba/Kageyama ending though if that's what you'd like
